DESCRIPTION: Model LM-48 is a symphonic trombone/marching baritone mouthpiece specifically designed for the performer who is looking for that classic huge, dark, powerful orchestral sound that projects, and projects! This is an amazing mouthpiece with an incredibly commanding tone. Imagine the Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing Pines of Rome, and you get the picture. :-)

If you are a marching baritone player who wants a mouthpiece that has a HUGE sound without going bright, this is for you! These mouthpieces were used by the SPIRIT from JSU Drum & Bugle Corps from 2005-2008. I still get calls and emails from SPIRIT staff & members of that time telling me that they STILL use their LOUD Mouthpieces on a DAILY BASIS. They NEVER put them down, and dozens of these drum corps players have bought 2-3 backups so they’re NEVER without their LOUD Mouthpiece! ........... Enough said, Right??

The LM-48 compares in size to a Bach 5G. The rim is the same inner diameter as the 5G. The cup is slightly shallower than the 5G, but deeper than the 51C4. It has a massive, commanding, dark sound and is perfect for the orchestral trombonist or the marching musician. Please select large or small shank when ordering.

Volume or Tone, Why Not Both? February 19, 2015
Reviewer: Timothy Dixon from Scottsboro, AL United States
When I first played on this I thought I was dreaming of the perfect tone, to only realize it was reality. People have told me you'll have to sacrifice tone for volume or volume for tone, this mouthpiece has shut them down. I have yet to play on a mouthpiece better than this one and I don't think there is one out there. This mouthpiece is perfect for the concert hall and the marching field, and it will definitely be used in both.
