Let's face it. The playing that we do today is different than trumpet players did 25+ years ago. We are asked to play different styles on the same gig or rehearsal. We might play lead in a jazz band, play a church gig, play a wedding ceremony and the 4 hour long pounding reception. You get the idea. All the while, the expectations of perfection have grown higher and higher.
With today's recording techniques, people don't listen to mistakes very much anymore. As a result, the average listener expects you to sound the same as all the recordings - flawless. People want you to sound like Phil Smith or Adolph Herseth one minute, and then the next, sound like Wayne Bergeron, Doc Severinsen, or Maynard Ferguson. After that, maybe a little Clifford Brown, Chet Baker, or even Nicholas Payton.
How could we ever live up to these unattainable expectations?
Practice, listen, and play LOUD MOUTHPIECES!
Even though the name of the mouthpiece is LOUD, the bigger mouthpieces that we sell lend themselves to very quiet playing as well. Thus making them very well suited to orchestral playing.
Many great commercial players play smaller mouthpieces for the demanding work that they do. Then, in order to sound appropriate for other work, they switch to a bigger mouthpiece for a darker sound. The drill sizes on our larger mouthpieces are not so big that they wear you out. We compensate those hole sizes with a back-bore to give you a very dark sound. Even when pushed, the mouthpieces retain their deep, resonant sound quality.
When it's time to switch back, the commercial (smaller) mouthpieces have the resistance built in right where it counts.
The commercial side of our trumpet line is very different than anything currently on the market. It harkens back to the golden age of trumpet where everybody had a big fat huge bright sound. It takes design cues from the early Jet-Tones, but with some fairly substantial differences. The rims are fairly wide and "cushy". This makes a comfortable setup for the player, but also helps disperse the pressure over a larger area of the lips thereby increasing endurance. The mouthpieces have a V shaped cup, and have the perfect amount of resistance in the throat area to be able to play in the high range for hours. The back-bores are set up to accentuate the natural acoustics of a shallow mouthpiece with a trumpet - BIG, BRIGHT and FAT!!
The shape of these cups make it possible to play high easier for longer periods of time and not bottom out. The pitch center is more controlled than most shallow C cups as well.
These mouthpieces are easier to produce a fuller sound throughout the entire range of the trumpet (including the higher range) as the shallow C cup and with more pitch control for longer periods of time.

NOTE: ALL TRUMPET MODELS ARE BRASS. THEY ARE NOT STAINLESS STEEL. GOLD PLATING IS AVAILABLE FOR $50 EXTRA. STAINLESS MODELS WILL BE AVAILABLE (in a couple months) FOR $65.00 EXTRA.
TRUMPET RETURN POLICY
Silver Plated Mouthpieces: Brass trumpet mouthpieces are very delicate, which is why many manufacturers offer NO return policy on brass mpcs. At Loud, we do have a 3 day trial period (from the day you receive your mpc) with a $20 restocking fee should you choose to return or exchange it. The returned mouthpiece must be in perfectly NEW condition. If there are scars/abrasions on the shank from your instrument, please don't send it back. We will simply return it to you and your card will remain charged in full.
Stainless Steel Models: Stainless steel is much stronger than brass. For this reason, the trial period is 1 week and the restocking fee is only $15. Again, the shank must in NEW condition. No scars, abrasions, etc...

LM-RB3C
| Trpt-Rick Baptist Signature Model Rick's mouthpiece has the Inner Diameter of a Bach 3C. The rim has an ever so slightly more cushion feel to it. It has a 27 hole, and our classical back-bore. The cup has more overall volume than a 3C. We used a B cup design, but from a slightly smaller mouthpiece so that the player would not lose endurance. The mouthpiece is has a warmer sound, is quick responding, and is very comfortable.
Rick and many other players have concluded that they have not lost endurance or range verses using a 3C size mouthpiece. If you're looking for a warm classical piece with a big sound that is easy to play, try this one!! | | Add to Cart $109.00 |

| | LM-94S
| Trpt-Steve Patrick Signature Model Extra shallow cup. This commercial mouthpiece has a very flat, fat rim. It has a very shallow V cup design with a 28 drill. The 94S has a big fat bright sound with an inner diameter that would be roughly the size of a Bach 17 (0.614-ish) It feels even smaller than that because of the shape of the rim. This mouthpiece is very small and not recommended for young developing players. | | Add to Cart $109.00 |

| Trpt-Mike Haynes Signature Model .639 I.D. 28 drill This is the personal model of session player Mike Haynes. He is an incredible player, and
it's likely you've never heard of him, but I can guarantee that you've heard him. He's
played on thousands of recordings including records, TV shows, movie soundtracks, and
jingles. He is one of the most well rounded players ever!
This mouthpiece is good for lead-playing or just cutting through a section. It has a very
open sound and is very even from the bottom of the register right on up to the top.
The mouthpiece is modeled after an old Studio C. It is a medium shallow V cup design and
has a 28 hole. It has a big fat bright sound. | | Add to Cart $109.00 |
| | LM-1.5C
| Trumpet Modeled after an extremely comfortable Bach Mt. Vernon 1 1/2C. This mouthpiece was designed to not "feel" quite as big. But it still is a good size piece. The rim is much more comfortable than most new big mouthpieces on the market today. It has a 27 hole and
the back-bore is designed to give a full round dark sound. Even when pushed the sound quality stays the same. The idea was to have a mouthpiece that was very dark and round, and when pushed, had some brilliant qualities without being "edgy" or "nasal" in it's nature. | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-3C
| Trumpet This mouthpiece was modeled after an early Elkhart model Bach 3C. The rim is very comfortable for hours of playing. The hole size, and back-bore are the same as the 1 1/2. The playing and sound characteristics are very similar to the 1 1/2, but with a slightly smaller inner-diameter. | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-5B
| Trumpet This mouthpiece has a high point that is set a little further in toward the inner diameter. It is loosely based on an early Elkhart Bach 6B. Many players playing a mouthpiece of this size switch back and forth between a small mouthpiece and a bigger one, so this piece was designed with them in mind. The cup is a little deeper than the 1 1/2 and the 3. It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics, but with a slightly more compact darker sound. | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-5C
| Trumpet This mouthpiece has a high point that is set a little further in toward the inner diameter. It has the same rim as our 5B. Because of demand, we put a smaller cup on it (a standard C cup). It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics, but is easier to play for people that prefer this size inner diameter. | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-10.5C
| Trumpet This mouthpiece is modeled after one of the first Bach New York 10 1/2 C's ever made. (It was made sometime in the late 1920's!) The hole size is a 27, and the back-bore is slightly brighter than the 1 1/2, 3, and 5.
It is extremely comfortable and does not feel very small. It makes a wonderful all around mouthpiece and also a great piccolo or Eb trumpet mouthpiece. It also lends itself for those switching back and forth from a smaller commercial mouthpiece.
Band directors - I HIGHLY recommend starting your young players on this mouthpiece. Because of the size and shape, it will help them to get a good sound right away and to not develop any bad habits from straining on a mouthpiece that is too big.

Everyone who has played it wants one no matter what size trumpet mouthpiece they play on. We have made the perfect flugelhorn mouthpiece. (and we're modest) | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-3Z
| Commercial Trumpet Modeled after a Doc Severinson model of the 70's, this mouthpiece is perfect for those who
play a 3 for legit work, but need to switch to something different for commercial work.
This mouthpiece is for those who cannot play shallow mouthpieces. The hole (28), and
back-bore give you "zing" to "cut through" the section and keep up
with the other players who are playing shallow equipment. Because of the added resistance,
it is easier to play in the high range. It has a big fat bright sound.
This mouthpiece corresponds to our LM-T3 rim inner diameter, but has a different shaped
rim and is more commercial sounding. | | Add to Cart $89.00 |
| | LM-75M
| Commercial Trumpet .660 I.D. 28 drill The LM-75M is comparable to Bach 1 1/2 - Bach 3 inner diameter. This model has it's roots in the old Jet-tone style V cup. It is medium shallow and has a fairly flat rim. It has a big inner diameter. If you play a Bach size 1 - 3, and want to keep a similar inner diameter for your commercial set-up, then this is the mouthpiece for you.
This mouthpiece has more resistance than the old Jet-tones providing more endurance,
better projection and an easier high end. The sound is full and resonant from the very
bottom of the range to the top. The back-bore is matched perfectly to the top to give you
a balanced mouthpiece. It has a comfortable cushion rim with a high point between the
middle and inner edge to provide support so that you don't have that "falling into the cup" feeling.
